As the new year nears, the City has been hard at work on the Five-Point Plan:
Owners of vacant buildings have been notified that the Vacant Property Registration Ordinance goes into effect January 1st. If you have received a letter but your property is not vacant, do not ignore the letter. Please contact us here immediately.
Public Works Director Jacqueline Foushee has requested funds for a crew of four employees to provide additional maintenance and attention to 80-100 vacant properties citywide as part of the Stabilization Pilot.
The developers HHG are returning several properties that they received from the City for possible inclusion in the Homesteading Program. These properties are in the Ferry District, around Centre Street.
